Cambo gets invite to Pebble
Having been snubbed by the Callaway hyper x driver committee at Augusta national earlier in the year, Michael Campbell, who ranks 5th on the European Order of Merit and won four times on the European and Australasian Tours earlier in the year, Callaway ft-i driver and Callaway ft-5 driver has been offered a special exemption to play in the 2000 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.
Cambo becomes the sixth player to Callaway ft-i 25th anniversary driver be offered a special exemption in this year, joining amateur Aaron Baddeley, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Curtis Strange and Tom Watson.
Campbell has won four events on Golf Clubs his home tour, the ANZ Tour, the Johnnie Walker Classic in Taiwan, the New Zealand Open, the Heineken Classic in Perth, Australia and the Ericcson Masters in Melbourne, Australia in 2000.
